Exhibition registration and scanning

When you are at one of our events you may be issued with a badge to gain entry. If your badge has a bar code or QR code and you allow exhibitors to scan the badge, they will receive your contact details. By registering to attend and / or by choosing to allow my badge to be scanned at any The BIG Promotional Trade Show Ltd exhibition, by exhibitors or sponsors when at the event, I will be providing The BIG Promotional Trade Show, exhibitors or sponsors with my personal data. I consent to this personal data being used to contact me about their products or services due to Legitimate Interest and understand that this partner or sponsor may transfer this data outside of the European Economic Area for these purposes and I consent to such transfer of my data. I also understand and agree that my personal data may be held and used by the organiser of The BIG Promotional Trade Show, and any third-party hosting provider acting on its behalf, in order to run the event and for analysing visitor traffic with a view to improving the event experience for visitors. By ticking the box on the registration form you confirm that you agree to our terms and conditions applicable to your visit at our events and acknowledge we will share personal data which you provide to us with selected third parties.

Additionally, if you enter a mobile telephone number into the telephone data line on a registration form, this number will be deemed to be in the public domain.

Data about who has scanned your badge may be used by the organiser of this event (The BIG Promotional Trade Show) for analytical purposes.

  • Secure SSH (Secure Shell) access with private/public key and password authentication for access by authorised personnel only
  • Firewall locking down all but essential ports
  • Security settings applied so server meets the technical level of PCI (Payment Card Industry) security requirements.
  • Regular backups to secured backup storage
